This Device Turns a Basic Garage Door Opener Into a Smart Garage Door Opener
The Linear GD00Z is a garage door opener that offers Z-Wave control for most overhead door motors, excluding any Assure Link or MyQ models.
You can conveniently include this device with your compatible Z-Wave controller so that you can operate your garage door across a Z-Wave network.
The Linear GD00Z allows a Z-Wave controller (such as the Honeywell VAM or the Tuxedo Touch) to integrate the control and status of your garage overhead doors. Each motor requires its own opener for discrete control.
Also note that each opener comes with its own wireless tilt sensor to report open/close status wirelessly to the GD00Z module.
There is an included transformer with the device, which converts high voltage AC power from your AC receptacle to the low voltage power input required for the garage controller. The tilt sensor has a battery included and simply reports the status of the door back to the opener.
This is done wirelessly using Z-Wave connectivity. From there, the opener will transmit this status and receive commands via Z-Wave to your Z-Wave controller. Please note that the included tilt sensor ONLY communicates with the Linear GD00Z module. It does NOT communicate with your security system, and it cannot be used as a security device.
